Samantha Has An Eating Disorder

I'm lying here
Thinking (with church bells
ringing, really),
Of  Samantha, already thin, gorgeous,

Samantha with the eating disorder,
Because society, the world
Has a mental disorder.
So rats to your causation,

Chicken or egg.for what of magazine,
Billboard, television, and its willowy
Perfection, so, there goes a girl,
Fainting, brain waves taken astray

Of divinity, blood on the chin,
Vomit in your public toilet, as you
Blithely, read blindly, go, praising commerce,
Praising industry, singing so weakly

The atheistic lack of always
Sun rising banging cleanly clouds
Or stars, the lack of things like
Final looks and unfading exchanges.
